Once know as the "ballast pit", this 13-acre wildlife area is located 1 mile west of Ladora, right off Highway 6. It is a wetland habitat and often travelers will see waterfowl and wading birds using the marsh. The area also protects native prairie remnants found between the railroad and highway.
